Documents required for New Zealand Visa

  • Original Passport with at least 6 months validity and minimum 3 blank pages + all old passports if any;
  • Visa Application form;
  • 2 recent colour photographs. view image
  • Personal Covering letter (For Employed-Plain paper/ Self-Employed-Letterhead);
  • Original updated Bank Statements with sufficient bank balance (last 6 months);
  • Income Tax Returns/Form 16 for last 3 years;
  • Supporting Financial Documents such as Fixed Deposits, Property Investments, Other Investments etc. (Optional);
  • Evidence of funds of at least NZ$ 1,000 per month for maintenance and accommodation, or NZ$ 400 per month if your accommodation has been prepaid. In the form of bank statements, saving books or fixed deposit certificates, or Completed sponsorship form INZ 1025 if your visit is being sponsored by a New Zealand citizen/resident.

Kindly note: The Govt is very strict on the photograph requirement; please ensure that your photos are as per the specifications.

 

Supporting documents as per your occupation, type of visit:

1. If Employed:

  • Original Leave sanctioned certificate with company seal and signature;
  • Last 3 months salary slip.

2. If Self Employed:

  • Business Registration License / MOA / Partnership deed;
  • Company’s updated bank statement of last 6 months;
  • Company’s IT returns for last 3 years.

3. If Retired:

  • Proof of retirement like pension book, statement etc.

4. If Student:

  • School / College / Institute ID Card;
  • Bonafide certificate.

5. If Minor:

  • Birth Certificate;
  • No Objection Certificate from the parents / non-accompanying parent on Rs 100/- stamp paper;
  • ID proof of parent like passport or PAN card.

6. If Visiting friend or relative:

  • Invitation letter;
  • Inviter’s ID proof like Passport or Resident Permit;
  • Address proof like any Electricity bill, any Utility bill etc.

7. If Sponsored:

  • Original Sponsorship letter from NZ;
  • Sponsor’s national ID proof like Passport, PAN card or Resident permit;
  • Updated bank statement of last 6 months;

8. For Business Visa:

  • Invitation letter from host Company stating purpose of trip, business details etc;
  • Covering letter from Indian company on company letterhead.

1. What are the different types of Visas for New Zealand?

There are different types of Visas like Tourist, Business, Transit, Work Permit visa etc. depending upon your purpose of travel.

2. Is personal presence mandatory for visa submission?

No as of now there is no requirement of personal presence of Applicant for visa submission as there is no Biometrics process implemented by New Zealand Immigration. Either Applicant can submit his application on his own or he can authorize any other Person / Travel Agent to submit his application on his behalf by giving Authority Letter in his name.

3. What is a standard processing time for Visa?

Processing Time will differ from Category to Category but Generally Tourist & Business visa takes around 20 to 25 days’ time after submission.

4. Is Prior Appointment is required for submission at TT Service Center?

Individual clients do not require a prior appointment to lodge their application at TT Service New Zealand Visa Application Centers, they can go as walk in as per submission timings

5. Is it possible to apply for any other visa simultaneously along with New Zealand Visa, if I am travelling to multiple countries in one journey?

Ideally answer to this question is NO, as Physical passport needs to be submitted at the time of Visa application & it will remain inside New Zealand Immigration office for around 20 to 25 days. But in exceptional cases, where You are travelling to multiple countries in one journey & time available at hand is less in such cases Applicant can request New Zealand Immigration explaining the problem & if Immigration Officer is satisfied with the reason & urgency then he may allow to submit Notarized copy of all pages of Current passport along with other documents at the time of submission & Physical passport can be retained by you for applying for other visa & once you receive the passport from another country then you can resubmit your passport to New Zealand TT Service center only for visa stamping.
But this will be totally at the discretion of the Visa Officer & Consulate, there is no any kind of guarantee on this.

7. What is TT Service Center?

8. Do I need to undergo Health Examination / Chest X-Ray for applying New Zealand Visa?

This will depend upon many factors as which category of visa you are applying for, what is your duration of stay in New Zealand, your Age & Medical conditions etc.

New Zealand visa submission has to be done through New Zealand TT Service centers only, Applicant can’t go directly to New Zealand Immigration office for visa submission unless otherwise advised by Consulate to do so.

10. What is the process for collecting passports after the decision has been taken on application?

New Zealand TT Service Centers send passports back by courier either at Residence Address or Office Address of Applicant mentioned by him at the time of submission.

11. Is New Zealand Transit Visa being necessary for Indian Nationals? Some information on Transit visa

Indian Citizens will require to take Transit Visa for New Zealand in all the cases.
Only Exception is as below

Non-New Zealand citizens will be required to hold a transit visa unless:

  • They hold a current New Zealand visa; or
  • Their destination is Australia and they hold a current visa to enter Australia
